Inspired by the image of daylight affected by rain. Another layer of meaning is contemplated in this image: a symbolic representation of the human spirit ‘shining through’ adverse circumstance. The work was commissioned by Theme & Variations Piano Services, Sydney, as a gift to a survivor of major surgery.
